  May 8 - 10 Centered Riding Clinic with Sue Leffler

Arrival: May 7, 2009 – Departure: May 10, 2009
Sue is a senior Level IV Centered Riding Instructor. This 3 day clinic starts with an interactive talk on Thursday evening (May 7). The format will be semi-private lessons and unmounted awareness sessions. Maximum of 12 participants. Focus will be on application of CR to Icelandic and gaited horses but all disciplines (English and Western) are welcome. School horses are available.

Jun. 4 - 7 4 Day TTEAM Connect Icelandic Riding Clinic
Teachers: Robyn Hood; Mandy Pretty; Sue Falkner-March
Four day riding clinic - the first day will be an introduction to the horses, basic TTouch, balancing riders and giving people a sense of the horses they will be riding. The next 2 days will be Centered/Connected Riding with Sue Falkner-March followed by another day of riding & ground work with Icelandic horses. This clinic offers a positive, stress-free opportunity to learn about Icelandic horses and TTouch. We will be focusing on Centered/Connected Riding on day 2 & 3 and integrate these skills into work on the gaits. Riders will have the opportunity to ride different horses and we will cover saddle fit, dentistry and an introduction to TTouch bodywork and the Playground of Higher Learning & Connected Groundwork.   Jun. 13 - 14 Fun & Pleasure Event

The ninth annual Icelandic Horse show - 1 ½ days of friendly competition in a variety of classes to demonstrate the versatility of the Icelandic Horse. Come and bring your horse. The Event will be judged by Canadian National Sport Judges. Join us for a casual get together Saturday evening. Everyone is welcome!

  Jun. 13 - 18 6 Day Starting Young Horses with TTEAM
Teachers: Robyn Hood and Mandy Pretty
Participants will have the opportunity to take a young Icelandic horse through the steps of starting him under saddle using TTEAM techniques. This clinic also includes working with, young Icelandic foals at their mothers' side, weanlings, and older unhandled horses. The course is open for people to bring their own young horse of any breed. Arrival: evening of June 26, 2009 – Departure: June 28, 2009 after lunch
Be it mother / father + child, grandma / grandpa + grandchild, aunt / uncle + niece / nephew – this event is intended for an adult bringing a child 6 years or older. Maximum number of participants: 5 “pairs”. This weekend of fun and education around and about the Icelandic Horse will be catered to the interests and abilities of the participants. You may bring your own horse to be included in the activities if suitable.

Jul. 9 - 10 Natural Horsemanship Clinic Level 1 with Richard Thompson

Richard Thompson - an excellent and dedicated teacher - will teach “Learning the language of the Relationship”. This clinic is a great opportunity to learn all about “horse communication” and body language. It is an asset for horse handlers of all levels. Always a bit unsure about what to expect from a show or just would like to improve your riding?

* Learn what the judges would like to see in each class
* how to improve gaits in your horse
* how to improve your riding
* you are not alone, learn by watching, too

You will test ride real classes for the judge. Then get your detailed information on the performance and find out what needs to be improved. Than we'll work you through. You'll be amazed how much you can improve in just 2 days.

Sept. 12 -13 Balance Riding Clinic

The Balanced Riding clinic will promote harmony between the rider and horse. You will combine sessions of stretch and strength exercises with relaxation and individual body alignment to create a more balanced seat on your horse. This will also release tension and reduce anxiety and fear allowing a greater connection to your horse.
